LOCH LOMOND STAND UP PADDLEBOARD

Stand up paddleboarding (sup) is one of the newest and fastest-growing sports in the world.

Sup is a fun activity which is suitable for all ages and easy to learn.

Sup provides the opportunity to mix outdoor recreation with sightseeing and makes for a unique, fun and exciting way to explore Loch Lomond.

Learn to paddleboard with Loch Lomond Leisure; start off kneeling on the board and use the paddle to steer and to move forwards until eventually you will have the confidence to stand up.

EQUIPMENT HIRE

SUP hire is available from Loch Lomond Leisure.

The basic equipment hire will consist of a SUP board and paddle and buoyancy aid.

All participants will receive a safety induction and some basic training but once you set off from Luss you will be completely independent and enjoy the freedom to explore Loch Lomond at your own pace.

** Overnight SUP Hire between the hours of 6pm & 10am. Additional charges will be incurred – at the normal hourly rate – per additional hour past the return time of 10am.  

A £100.00 deposit is required for overnight bookings and Long Term Hires, and is returnable on receipt of undamaged SUP’s

A buoyancy aid will be supplied and must be worn

A wet‐suit is not included but will be available to hire for additional cost of £5 per person

GUIDED TOURS

Guided sup tours are available from Loch Lomond Leisure.

A fully qualified BCU coach will lead you on an expedition for 2 hours and you are certain to enjoy the added benefit of local knowledge and expert tuition.

GROUP BOOKINGS

Group bookings are possible and the maximum group size is 24 participants.

Group bookings are available for both hire options (basic hire and guided tour).

Special rates are offered for schools, universities and youth groups.

LOCATION

Stand up paddle boarding is available from the following locations:

	Luss Pier, Luss, G83 8NZ
	Luss Beach, next to Luss car park, Luss, G83 8PA
	Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch, G83 8QL
	Rowardennan Hotel, Rowardennan, G63 0AR

On arrival you will be greeted by a staff member from Loch Lomond Leisure and asked to complete some basic paperwork.

Next you will be issued with a wetsuit (optional) and buoyancy aid (compulsory).

After changing there will be a very short walk to the beach and you will be introduced to the coaching staff who have been trained and licensed by the British Canoe Union (BCU).

Taking all of this into consideration we ask participants to arrive on site at 30 minutes prior to pre-booked start time and failure to adhere to these guidelines could result in the loss of some or all of your allocated time-slot.

OPENING TIMES

Stand up paddleboarding is available from March to October.

Stand up paddleboarding is not available during the winter months.
