STAG PARTY: Island BBQ Package

The island BBQ package is a self-catering event on Loch Lomond.

To start with you will enjoy a short speedboat transfer from Luss to the island where one of our staff will greet you and act as your ‘host’ for the day.

The island that we visit will be Inchcailloch. This island has a beautiful sheltered beach with fantastic views to the Luss hills, Ben Lomond and beyond.

There are toilet facilities on the island but Loch Lomond Leisure would provide all BBQ equipment, tables, chairs, gazebo and rubbish bins etc. The visiting group will be responsible for bringing their own food and drinks in a cool box and to cook their own food.

Aside from the beach, there are various woodland paths leading to an impressive viewpoint and an old ruined church and an ancient clan burial ground. Some groups prefer to stay at the BBQ site where you can eat, drink and relax, but there is plenty of time for the more adventurous visitor to explore the island fully.

 

SAMPLE ITINERARY

A sample itinerary would be as follows:

*If these times are not suitable there may be some flexibility for weekday bookings and Sundays but typically these departure times would be fixed for all Saturday bookings.

The maximum seating capacity is 7 passengers per boat [8 persons including our driver].  List pricing for 2019 is detailed below:

**Extended Tour will add 30 minutes to outward journey. This extra time would allow for a scenic tour past ‘The Loch Lomond Golf Club’, ‘The Narrows’, ‘Inchmurrin Island’ and ‘The Highland Boundary Fault Line’.

 

ADD-ONS

BEACH GAMES

A range of beach games and equipment can be added on for additional £50 and games include:

• Jumbo Jenga
• Jumbo Chess
• Swingball
• Connect Four

 

WATERSPORTS

It is possible to hire one of the boats to stay at the island for 1, 2, or 3 hours. The price is £115 per hour and watersports would include waterski, wakeboard, and ringo.

OPENING TIMES

The Island BBQ is available from March to October.

The Island BBQ is not available during the winter months.
